How the Square integration works
How redemptions work with Square
Unlike some integrations, BEB does not embed a redemption interface directly inside Square's POS. Instead, redemptions are handled through the BEB cashier page — a dedicated web page your staff pull up on a separate device sitting alongside the register.
When a customer wants to redeem a reward, your cashier opens the BEB cashier page, looks up the customer by phone number, and confirms the redemption. The discount is then applied manually during checkout on Square.
What BEB accesses through Square
BEB requests only the Square permissions needed to operate loyalty features. This includes merchant and location identifiers, order and payment context used to determine point eligibility, item or catalog information used to support redemption rules, and webhook events used to keep loyalty records synchronized.
BEB does not process payments on your behalf. All payment processing continues through Square as it normally would.
How you connect to BEB
BEB is not distributed through the Square App Marketplace. To connect, you visit BEB's merchant login page, click Sign in with Square, and authorize via Square OAuth. BEB creates or updates your merchant account automatically — no separate sign-up step needed.
